The tray/dish is 8 1/2 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide.  The letter opener matches the tray and is 7 3/4 inches long. The tray can be used to hold the letter opener or use it to hold paper clips.  It dresses up a desk nicely. It has no chips or cracks. It is probably 15 years old.
