RARE Peggy Fairfax Herrick House Of Hatten "To Market, To Market Large Tureen Cookie Jar Covered Bowl

This Covered Bowl Features a Pig Finial on Top of a Sunflower on the Lid. Lid also Has Various Insects, Including a Grasshopper, Bee, Butterfly, and Dragonfly, All in Raised Relief. . The Bowl Adorned with Pigs and Vines, Surrounding the Bowl. It is Further Decorated with a Rope Motif Beneath the Pigs, and Finished with a Black and White Checkered Design Around the Bottom.

Marked "Designed Exclusively for House of Hatten, Inc. by Peggy Fairfax Herrick" on Bottom.

PLEASE READ: FIRST THE GOOD NEWS, THIS DISPLAYS QUITE BEAUTIFULLY. AND UNLESS CLOSELY INSPECTED THE FLAWS WILL NOT BE SEEN. THE BAD NEWS IS AT ONE TIME THE PIG FINIAL MUST HAVE CAME OFF AND WAS REGLUED TO THE TOP OF THE LID, SO IT HAS A REPAIR. TRUTHFULLY NOT READILY NOTICEABLE, SINCE I DID NOT NOTICE IT AT TIME OF PURCHASE AND ONLY SAW IT ONCE I WAS TAKING PHOTOS. Other than that the only other flaw I find is a couple of tiny glaze flake only flea bites, and a chip along the underside of the rim on the bottom. Not visible with lid in place, and not terribly noticeable when the lid is removed. PLEASE REVIEW PHOTOS SINCE THEY ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE LISTING TO SEE THESE AREAS FOR YOURSELF. I am pricing it taking into consideration the repair, as well as the rarety of the item.

Measures approx. 11 1/4" tall with lid (5 1/2" without lid) x 10 3/4" rim diameter.

Weighs 6 lbs. 11 oz. prior to packaging.

I am only offering this for a limited time to see if anyone out there wants it. If not I will just keep it for myself, but it is such a neat piece, I thought I would offer it first.
