VERY RARE - OUT OF PRINT - 100 Lovely Tsuba - Hayashi
This is a collection of Tsuba from some of the the most devoted collectors in the world. The tsuba in this compilation were selected for their Jidaishoku, ie, the influence they had on other tsuba makers.
The beginning portion of the book has exquisitely printed color plate images of the most magnificent tsuba. The majority of the book is high resolution b/w reproduction representing all major tsuba schools and important eras. This is a wonderful work, and must be in your collection of books if you have an interest in Japanese swords, or amazing metalwork. This book is nearly all images, with only a few of its pages devoted to Japanese text. 15 x 21 cms . 181 pages. The very back of the book has a nice reference for some outstanding sword and fitting dealers in Japan. Condition: VERY RARE - OUT OF PRINT, Generally good condition with slight shelf ware but no structural damage, and no marking.
