This is an unusual necklace.  I believe we are dealing with rhinestones and silverplate.  The pendant is four rows of channel set stones that are put together to form a diamond shape.  Inside that are 4 faceted stones with flat tops and a center of a single tiny clear stone.  The bail is a semi circle of metal and on each side are a round stone. Holding the bail is another pendant of a single square stone set on edge with a surround, like a crown, of 9 stones.  The chain is permanently attached near the top, but at the side of that pendant and head off to the clasp.  The chains are 7 1/2 inches on each side heading to the clasp.  There is a loop on one side that needs to be rounded off.  It is a little flat.  The clasp works well and just before it is attached to the chain there is a square stone that is set on side.  It is a very sparkly on the neck.  I do not know its age or composition, but it is beautiful and I know it is over 40 years old. The large pendant is 1 1/4 inches.
