The letter from the Rumford Company says the cover is red Dublin cloth and that it is waterproof. From that information I have deduced that there was no dust cover.  The letter is shown in photograph no. 3. The book is in excellent condition. It has bee in my cookbook collection for many years and in a folder in a file cabinet so it hasn't been out subjected to dust and kitchen ordors or grease.  The top of the pages look like they have a little dust on them but clean none the less.  This is a revised cookbook and printed in 1936.  It has 209 numbered pages.  Rumford Chemical Works was the printer.
