This is a very rare example of what looks like a studio piece prior to opening his company from Howard Jae (Jae of California) - dated 1948. This hand thrown vase measures approx 11 1/2" tall - beautifully had crafted - has a series of geometric lines and figures in the design that extends around the exterior of vase in a series of five panels. It is in very good condition - no chips or cracks - one pinpoint sized glaze pop approx 1 1/2" down from mouth of vase - very minor but noted for accuracy - a series of other pinpoint glaze pops near base - all glazed over - again very minor. Overall this is in very good-excellent condition.
