Nice Antique Wooden Steamer Trunk – NEEDS TLC – COVERED WOODEN TRUNK

Offered here is this Nice Antique Wooden Steamer Trunk.  It is in fair condition, with good bones, but the outer covering is stained, and torn in several places.  The metal corners and the seams are all intact.  The leather handles on each end are also intact, however, they are brittle and cracking.  The latches work, but the center locking mechanism is missing.  There is a small break in the wood of the trunk in this area, where the bottom portion of the locking latch would have been located.  There is a piece of the left latch that is also missing.  The inside lining of the trunk is intact, but it is quite dirty, and there are large stains on it as well.  The original label is still present on the inside of the lid but is very faded.  The trunk is 9.5” deep, 13.5” tall, 30.5” long, and 22.5” wide.  This is an incredibly old trunk in delicate condition but could be a lovely addition to an antique trunk collection.  It should clean up nicely and with a little TLC, could be nice.
