The Algonquin Round Table wit has over sixteen Broadway musical hits to his credit as a lyricist, mostly partnered with music by Schwartz.

As MGM's publicist, he associated with numerous Hollywood stars, and includes some of their anecdotes and candid photographs in this rich autobiography.
