Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the popular 1940's secret marriage-themed comedy, MODEL WIFE, released in 1941 by Universal Pictures and directed by Leigh Jason. Fred (Dick Powell) and Joan (Joan Blondell) are a married couple working at the Benson's business. Mrs. J.J. Benson (Lucille Watson)  has a strict policy against married employees, so they keep it a secret while they save every penny as they wish to have a baby. Everything goes well until Mrs Benson decides to install her good-for-nothing son (Lee Bowman) in the store and assigns Joan as his secretary. Then one day she is asked to model dresses for a late customer. The cast includes Charles Ruggles, Ruth Donnelly, Billy Gilbert, John Qualen, and Lorraine Krueger.

The image features a close shot inside the home of Joan Keating Chambers (Joan Blondell) and her husband, Fred (Dick Powell), as they enjoy a quiet and happy moment together. It is in fine+ condition with a light 2 in. horizontal crease on the top border at the left corner; light signs of wear on the other corners; and random scratches from handling over time. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.

Joan Blondell and Dick Powell were real-life husband-and-wife at the time this film was made.
