Vintage Hand-Carved Clam Shell with Dragon engravings inside

This carved clam shell has the feel and look of metal, but
others I've seen list as soap stone.
the condition is nice with a few tiny chips along the edge.
This weighs nearly 2 lbs. , is approx 5.5" wide (side to side), 4" front to back and 3" tall.
This is a moss green with light and dark tones through-out.
