Shipping policy
STANDARD SHIPPING:
All orders must be paid in full at the time the order is placed. Items will only ship after full payment has been received and cleared.
At this present time, I am only shipping to the United States via USPS First Class Mail and includes Tracking or Priority Mail which includes Tracking and Insurance. It is the least expensive way to ship your package. Shipping upgrades are offered, just email me prior to purchase. Your order will be shipped once your payment is cleared. You are responsible for tracking the progress of your shipment. Nellie’s Timeless Treasures is not responsible for any shipping delays once a package has left my possession or any lost/stolen/damaged items. Refunds on shipping charges due to a delay will not be refunded. You are charged only what I am charged to post your package, plus the cost of all materials to carefully pack your order.
OVERAGES IN SHIPPING CHARGES:
In case there is an overage in shipping charges of $2.00 or more paid, your account will be reimbursed the difference.
SHIPPING UPGRADES:
Priority Mail 2-3 day and Priority Mail Express 1 day shipping is offered as options and includes tracking and insurance. Email prior to purchase please.
U.S. INSURANCE COVERAGE:
Nellie’s Timeless Treasures offers you the option to purchase postal insurance on your First Class Mail package. Insurance is included in Priority Mail Shipping Options.
If you do not request postal insurance, Nellie’s Timeless Treasures does not assume any liability for packages lost, stolen, damaged, or tampered with by the postal service or other third parties and no refunds will be issued.
DELIVERY ADDRESS:
I do not ship to a third party address, hotel/motel rooms, any freight forwarding services or any re-shipping companies based in the United States with a US address. Those purchases will be cancelled and monies refunded.
Items will be shipped to the address listed on your account. It is your responsibility to ensure the correct address is listed. No refund will be offered in the event that an incorrect address was supplied. If the item is returned to me, due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the ‘re-shipping’ costs.
PACKAGING:
Please know I take special care in packaging your item(s) but remember, once it leaves my hands I have no control and can not be responsible for any packages that are damaged/lost/stolen/tampered with by the postal service or other third parties.

You are buying vintage items that have had some use to them and “wear and tear.” Overall, I inspect all items and do my best to describe the items and disclose any discrepancies that I may find in its current condition through description and photos. I can not be responsible for the future condition of any item once it leaves my hands and arrives in the buyer’s hands (whether it’s a broken clasp, loose stones, chipped wood or ceramic, scratches etc.).

EXCEPTIONS:
I want my customers happy. In the event that I may have overlooked something in grave error, and you are truly displeased with an item, please contact me and I will work something out to correct any issues. Generally shop credit will be issued for item amount only, (minus prepaid shipping costs and 15% Paypal fees.) In extreme cases that a refund is issued it would be for the amount of the item only, (minus prepaid shipping costs and 15% Paypal fees) and must be authorized first. In the event that a return is authorized, all returns must be in the same packaging and in the same condition as it was sent. Nellie’s Timeless Treasures is not responsible for damage incurred during the shipping process. So please be sure to package carefully. If you return an item to me without prior authorization, you will not receive a refund, nor store credit.
Items received that are damaged due to poor packaging on your part will not be issued a store credit/refund.
Return Shipping Charges are the customer’s responsibility.
INSURANCE/TRACKING RECOMMENDED:
Nellie’s Timeless Treasures is not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged items and highly recommends insurance/tracking be applied to postal charges when returning. No refunds will be made for lost/stolen/damaged/tampered with items.
Miscellaneous details
BUYING VINTAGE:
When buying vintage from this shop or someone else’s, please be aware that the majority of items have been used and may have some imperfections due to aging or wear. So please make sure you carefully look at the photo(s) supplied, read the item(s) description and make sure that you are at peace with the possibility of any minor flaws due to aging and/or use prior to purchase. The items offered in Nellie’s Timeless Treasures are stored in a smoke-free, pet-free environment, but know that there is also no guarantee that the items being offered have not “previously” been around smoke, pets, perfume, etc…
I do try to measure the clothing to the best of my ability and give my customers the closest measurements of sizing, so please read carefully.
Jewelry is cleaned with a polishing cloth and earrings are disinfected/sanitized with isopropyl alcohol.
NYS SALES TAX COLLECTED:
Please remember NYS residence, sales tax will be added at checkout. By law, I am obligated to collect sales tax for the State of NY. If your tax rate is less than what is being charged, I will immediately refund the difference to your account.
COLORING OF IMAGES:
I try do my very best to describe and photo capture each image as accurately as possible to represent the items true colors but computer screens, ipads, smartphones and all other screen devices can vary due to personal settings. This can alter the true color of items. People can also perceive colors differently, and shades of colors, can vary so much that coloring can not be guaranteed.
WRIST SIZING:
Please follow the instructions below when sizing your wrist for a bracelet.
Measure your wrist with a measuring tape or a string in the area you want the bracelet to lay. If using sting, mark the string and measure it against a ruler. Add 1/4" to give you some room/movement and 1/2" if you want a bit of a drape. The average persons wrist size is between 7-7/12" which would be a medium fit according to the chart below.

x-large 9-10"
If you have an existing bracelet and like the way it fits on you, it can be measured by measuring inside diameter at the center-widest point, multiply that by 3.14 (Pi) to find inside circumference. If the available bracelet is too snug or too loose, you may add/subtract 1/2" to the found inside circumference.

TIPS ON TAKING CARE OF YOUR JEWELRY:
To keep Sterling Silver, Gold filled and all other Metals from tarnishing, oxidizing, keep them in a zip lock bag.
I recommend using a polishing cloth to clean your jewelry especially for Swarovski jewels, pearls and gemstones.
Put your jewelry on after you have put your make-up, perfume, hairspray on. Chemicals in these products can damage your jewelry. As well as chlorine, so please don’t go swimming with your jewelry on.
Always clean newly purchased and existing ear wires/ear posts with hydrogen peroxide or alcohol to keep bacteria out. Polish with a soft cloth.
