We are a multidisciplinary team, lovers of ecology, environment, culture and ancestral art, who decided to unite technology with their knowledge and skills to develop an inclusive project that generates sustainable opportunities aimed at the economic and social development of indigenous and tribal communities and artisan groups dedicated to the conservation of the customs and ancestral artistic expressions of our country.
Our main objective is to generate synergies between the artisan-aboriginal community and the final consumer, which directly benefit the producer with an appropriate recognition for their work, through actions that promote equity and transparency between the parties, sustaining and applying the philosophy of generating Fair Trade among all participants in the value chain.
MAWACO is the brand that represents us, inspired by the conjugation of the name of a mythical South American Jaguar with the origin of each article, which are elaborated by Colombian hands whose knowledge has been transmitted from generation to generation, for more than 2000 years and today still endures thanks to these communities and the support that we can receive from our clients and friends, having the certainty that together we will be able to maintain it, expand it and multiply it for a lot longer.
