While the term “locksport” is fairly new, going back only a matter of years, the activity itself – which can be defined as the recreational and often competitive exercise of defeating various locking systems through physical manipulation – got its start centuries ago. Recently the sport has grown in leaps and bounds, leading to sophisticated competitions that draw participants from all over the country. In fact, competitive lock picking has been big in European countries for a very long time.
American Locksport is designed to be a reliable source for practice tools and practice locks, because, obviously, if you are going to develop competitive skills you are going to need to practice, practice, practice. Our practice locks are combinated one at a time to offer just the right amount of challenge for a user’s skill level - with the purpose being to advance that skill level incrementally by moving up to more and more challenging lock combinations. Our progressive sets allow the user to begin with easily picked combos (1, 2- and 3-pinned cylinders, for example) and progress at his or her own speed to much, much harder combos; all the way up to 6-pinned cylinders filled with security pins. And our EZ Rekey practice locks are the all around best way to get into recreational lock picking and never have to purchase another lock (they are rekeyable without the need for tools and they are supplied with extra parts — making it impossible to outgrow them). American Locksport was created and is maintained by a veteran locksmith with 25-plus years of experience, and all practice items, including locks and kits, are market-successful items made by GSR Enterprises.
Shipping policy
We normally ship orders within 48 hours of receipt but on occasion, if supplies are depleted by a very recent sale for instance, it can go as long as 5 days. This is, however, not frequent.Return policy
Full refund available for DOAsItems that arrive damaged or not in working condition should be returned to us within 4 days of the delivery date for a full refund and/or replacement (your choice). If you have received an item you did not order, same rule applies. An item that ceases to function properly can be returned for replacement anytime within 14 days of delivery date. Please, in any case, contact me prior to returning any item to avoid confusion.
