Allow me to introduce myself...
Hi everyone!
My name is Alex Berg and I'm the new product guy at Bonanzle. Yesterday was my first day.
W
hat does a product guy (or gal) do? I'll be working with Bill and Mark on product strategy, design, and usability. That's a fancy way of saying that I want to make Bonanzle easier to use and more compelling for buyers. My number one goal is getting all of you more sales; to do that I'll be heading up a lot of site changes over the next month and beyond. I don't want to change the heart and soul of Bonanzle, as that would be bonkers crazy, but I'm confident we can make great strides by testing new features, layouts, and creative ways to merchandise your amazing products. My pledge to you is to let you know what we are doing and why. Well be doing lots of testing of different versions of the site and relying on data to make smart decisions.
A little about me: I’m the resident ‘old guy’ at Bonanzle. I got my internet start managing nba.com and then managed the user experience at Blue Nile - the largest online retailer of diamonds and jewelry. After Blue Nile I worked as Creative Director for Expedia and most recently managed product development for a company called Wetpaint. To say I love Internet startups would be an understatement. ; )
I live in West Seattle and have a needy lab and shepherd mix (we prefer to call him a ‘leopard’ rather than a mutt) named Cooper. I love soccer, historical biographies, and James Bond movies. I just bought my first Bonanzle item last night - a James Bond movie poster for the new office. Oh yes, and I am incredibly excited about joining Bonanzle!

I had to do the welcome thing cuz of the pup… lol! At first glance I thought he might have had Rottweiler in him. Lab & Shepherd… interesting & cute. I had a Lab/Shepherd; he was black with white markings. Now, I have The Critter Gang, which loves to put their 4 paws worth into all the critter posts here, as well as sometimes step up on their critter crate spouting their 4 paws worth of critter advice and/or personal critter opinions on critter topics. They tend to get me in trouble from time to time, but they are a lovable motley bunch of fur balls!
